Shaquille O’Neal has increased his net worth multiple times since retiring from the NBA. Over the years, O’Neal has appeared in countless commercials, but none has fired back at him like endorsing FTX cryptocurrency.

Shaq was among many celebrities who did commercials for the cryptocurrency company before it collapsed. The investors in the FTX cryptocurrency filed a lawsuit against the celebrities representing the brand, including Shaq. But the Diesel is seemingly avoiding dodging the lawyers who have tried to find him at his home and TNT studio.

“In 30 years, I’ve never had to deal with this situation,” said Adam Moskowitz, per the Wall Street Journal. “We are not going away.”

Ryan Young of Yahoo Sports further revealed the lawyers’ hunt for O’Neal has met a dead end multiple times.

“Lawyers for the plaintiffs have tried and failed to serve O’Neal both at his home and the TNT studio repeatedly. At one point, they said they ‘tossed the legal papers at his fast-breaking SUV.’

“O’Neal, however, claims he simply ‘drove past the strangers lurking outside his home’ and insists he isn’t dodging anybody.”

Shaquille O’Neal is undoubtedly avoiding the lawyers of FTX investors. After all, similar news caught fire back in March 2023 as well. If Shaq wasn’t hiding, he would have come forward to face the lawsuit by now.

Moreover, during this time, the Los Angeles Lakers legend has continued to make appearances on the ‘Inside The NBA’ show on TNT. But for how long can he hide? Certainly not forever.

Stephen Curry Was Also Sued For Endorsing FTX Cryptocurrency

Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t the only high-profile celebrity to be sued by the investors of FTX after the company went bankrupt.

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors were also sued by investors’ lawyers. But so far, there has been no news about Curry ducking the lawsuit and going into hiding like Shaq.

Sure, FTX did some shady things to get in trouble. But if the likes of Curry and O’Neal were in the dark about them, they may walk off without any issue.

At the end of the day, Shaquille O’Neal is most likely hiding something. Otherwise, why wouldn’t he simply prove his innocence instead of dodging the lawyers?
