The Miami Heat upset the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, with the series finishing 4-1. The Bucks did not look like the contenders that they were supposed to be, and it is clear that the Heat simply wanted the win more.

Forward Jimmy Butler was stellar in the first round, averaging 37.6 PPG, 6.0 RPG, and 4.8 APG for the Heat. There is no doubt that the Heat wouldn’t have been able to upset the Bucks without him, and Butler clearly played at a superstar level. At the conclusion of the series, Jimmy Butler posted two savage Instagram stories, with one showing him talking trash to Jrue Holiday and another one showing a fake quote from Max Strus saying “Heat in 5”.

There is no doubt that Jimmy Butler is having fun following the Heat’s win against the Bucks. He definitely deserves to talk some trash, as he managed to do something that not many people expected at the start of the postseason and elevated his game in the playoffs. It will be interesting to see if he can lead the Heat past the New York Knicks, as they are a tough defensive team. Jimmy Butler is likely feeling confident, though, and we’ll see what happens in the future.

Erik Spoelstra Credits Jimmy Butler’s “Psychotic” Mindset For The Miami Heat’s Win

Jimmy Butler is a fierce competitor who is willing to win at all costs. He will do whatever it takes, and Erik Spoelstra claimed that Jimmy Butler’s “psychotic” winning mentality is the reason the team managed to win.

“He competes to win,” the Heat head coach said. “That’s a different language. And he’s desperate and urgent, and maniacal, and sometimes psychotic about the will to try to win…and that’s why he is us and we are him.”

There is no doubt that there is a big mental side to basketball, and it definitely takes a lot of mental strength to lead one’s team to an upset over the No. 1 seeded Milwaukee Bucks. Jimmy Butler inspired his team to a series win despite them being a less talented overall team than the Bucks, and he definitely deserves a lot of respect for doing so. Hopefully, we see him lead the Heat far in the playoffs, and we’ll see what happens in the future..
