Russell Westbrook joining the Los Angeles Clippers was big news after he had a controversial stint with the Lakers, to say the least. And it’s not started well, the team is 0-3 since adding the point guard.
Russell Westbrook is not worried about the team’s results so far. But questions are being asked about the fit, and Kawhi Leonard recently gave his take on things.

“I think he is doing a good job,” Leonard said. “He is playing both ends of the floor… being aggressive… knocking down shots… getting into the paint, kicking out, so he’s playing good.
“It’s a lot of new pieces here. Those guys are playing some minutes, so just learning the style of how T-Lue is coaching and our defense. You know could make some mistakes here and there. You could see our experience on the court at times, but we just gotta keep building our chemistry with each other.”
For any team, adding major pieces like the Clippers did takes some adjustment, but the good sign for them is that they have individually been performing well. The team hasn’t won in the last 3 games, but there is every indication that this can change soon unless the problems prove to be more fundamental than chemistry issues.
How Will The Clippers Do In Their Coming Games?
The Los Angeles Clippers will play the Golden State Warriors twice in their next 6 games, which will be crucial in terms of seeding. As things stand, the Warriors have gone above the Clippers in the Western Conference standings into the 5th seed spot. But they are still without Stephen Curry, and if the Clippers are serious about contending this season, they will need to prove it by beating the reigning champs.
The team will also play the Memphis Grizzlies, who have looked a little shaky recently, and the Toronto Raptors, who they should beat as well. The Sacramento Kings and the New York Knicks are both teams in excellent form, and those will prove to be the tougher matchups. The Clippers just lost a huge thriller against the Kings recently, which saw numerous records broken too. They will be hoping to get a minimum of 4 wins out of their next 6, though.
