The Los Angeles Lakers have received terrible news regarding their second-best player. Anthony Davis has been dealing with injuries after winning the 2020 NBA championship, and things have gotten worse recently.

After losing LeBron James for at least two weeks, the Lakers have ruled out Davis for tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Many fans reacted to this news on social media, expressing their frustration with Davis’ unavailability this season, especially now that the season is pretty much on the line following LeBron James’ right foot injury.

One fan expressed what the rest of the fanbase is thinking, simply stating ‘this can’t be real.’

Another one claimed that this update on Davis’ status means the Lakers are pretty much done this season.

Others complained about the team giving up a game that could be won with their current roster.

One fan wrongly claimed that Davis didn’t play the last time they faced the Thunder, which was the game where LeBron James broke the all-time scoring record. Davis only scored 13 points that game, so perhaps that fan wanted to point that out.

The rest of the fans simply gave up and admitted that the team will look really bad now that their two stars will be sidelined.

It’s unclear what’s going on with Davis, but this doesn’t look good for the Lakers, who needed him to be competitive in the games LeBron James misses with his injury.

Are The Los Angeles Lakers Out Of The Playoffs Hunt Right Now?

Our Ishaan Bhattacharya recently named a couple of moves the Los Angeles Lakers can make to improve their level while LeBron James is sidelined, but this potential new lineup would include Anthony Davis.

Without AD, the team faces a bigger challenge now, and most likely, adding two veterans on the buyout market won’t help their case that much. Darvin Ham has a lot on his hands right now, and things could go terribly worse for the Purple and Gold in the next couple of games.
