The Los Angeles Lakers took a commanding lead in their Semifinals series against the Golden State Warriors, going up 3-1 after winning a close Game 4.

LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Lonnie Walker IV all starred for the Lakers, while Stephen Curry tried his best to carry the Warriors to a win. However, Jordan Poole had arguably his most disappointing performance in an already poor playoff run, scoring zero points. Suffice to say, he got ruthlessly trolled for it.

After impressing in last season’s playoffs, Poole has fallen off spectacularly this season. He has become unplayable in the playoffs, as seen by his minutes. After he failed to score a single point in a Game 4 the Warriors desperately needed to win, ridicule was bound to follow.

Jordan Poole isn’t the only player to be ridiculed in the playoffs, he’s still second to Dillon Brooks in that regard. But as one fan pointed out, even Brooks had better performances than what he managed to give on Monday night.

The running gag about Jordan Poole going off when attractive women are courtside is also wearing thin. Zendaya was in the building for Game 2 of the series and Poole still couldn’t conjure up a good performance.

After his excellent showings last season and what seemed like obvious potential, the Warriors gave him a fat contract extension worth more than $120 million. But that is already starting to look like a bad move by the franchise the way things have been going for Poole as of late.

Jordan Poole is playing nearly nine minutes less on average in the playoffs than he did in the regular season. He is averaging only 10.5 points per game, and shooting a shocking 34% from the field. If he doesn’t want to deal with ridicule the entire offseason, he will have to show out in the next three elimination games as the Warriors hope to pull off an unlikely comeback.

The Warriors Remain Confident In Poole But There Are Suggestions They Should Trade Him

The NBA is unforgiving, if players cannot perform consistently, they aren’t taken seriously by the rest of the league. Jordan Poole was the golden boy last season, and the franchise as well as Stephen Curry still believes in him. But not everyone feels the same way.

Gilbert Arenas has been among those to suggest that the team should consider trading him during the offseason. That would be a drastic reaction to a bad season for a young star, though. Poole needs to show the franchise something in whatever games they have remaining to warrant their faith in him.
