Luka Doncic had perhaps the most disappointing season of any MVP-caliber player this season. The Dallas Mavericks chose to tank at the 11th hour and missed even the play-in tournament. And it appears that Luka couldn’t wait to get away.

Luka Doncic is from Slovenia, and as soon as the regular season ended, he wanted to be home. But he did it in style, heading for the Easter holidays on a plane worthy of one of the NBA’s biggest superstars.

“He arrived in the capital of Slovenia on a “Gulfstream G650″ aircraft that only the richest people can afford,” reported Basket News. “The price of this luxury plane is 60,000,000 euros, and there are only 200 such planes in the world.

“Renting this plane, more specifically, an hour per flight costs 15,500 euros, so it is easy to calculate how much money Luka had to pay for the flight home. It is about nine and a half hours of flight. In translation, Luka Doncic cashed out around 150,000 euros for coming home.”

150,000 euros comes up to about $166,000, a huge amount to spend on one plane ride. Luka just finished the first year of his new 5-year, $215 million contract though, so this is almost like loose change for him. Luka Doncic has come in for criticism thanks to his defense as well as his complaining to referees. Considering the luxury he is traveling in though, he’s likely not too worried about all the noise at the moment.

The Gulfstream G650 Jet Has Some Incredible Amenities

The Gulfstream G650 is one of the most luxurious aircraft experiences that can be enjoyed. The plane is equipped with 42′ inch television sets, a refreshment center, a private entertainment space, and proper beds for the passengers to sleep in.

This is a long-range luxury aircraft, so it’s no wonder this was the one Doncic and his crew chose. The distance between Dallas and Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital, is over 5,500 miles. Luka Doncic is certainly living life king-size at the moment.

The focus for him will be to take some time off from basketball to recharge. After that, though, the superstar needs to start his preparations for next season. Doncic’s ceiling is being a Top 10 player in NBA history, and if that is to happen, he has to come back incredibly strong next season.
