Sports betting is all the rage for casual and hardcore fans of the sport, and hip-hop sensation Drake is no different.

Drake placed bets with undisclosed dollar amounts picking the Lakers and Heat to go up 2-0 in their respective series last night. Sadly for the rapper, both teams were beaten, causing fans to lament Drake cursing two more teams by betting on them.

A fan said it’s free money to bet against the team Drake has put money on because of how often he misses bets.

Another day with the Drake curse being successful caused fans to believe in it even more.

Some fans were trying to get the curse to work in their favor, like a Warriors fan asking Drake to bet on the Lakers and Kings.

A Rockets fan chimed in as well, hoping Drake bets against them winning the title next year.

Fans had more jokes about the situation.

Another fan just pointed out that the Drake curse is too common to be ignored.

Betting hasn’t worked out as well for Drake as he would have hoped, with the frequency of his incorrect bets birthing the ‘Drake Curse’. He has faced massive losses recently with bets on UFC fighters Justin Gaethje and Jorge Masvidal winning fights that they went on to lose. At least he picked the Super Bowl winner correctly.

He has a partnership with the betting website Stake, which is why he bets as often as he does.

Drake And His Involvement In Basketball

Many basketball fans that don’t know Drake from his music that plays in arenas during games know him as a die-hard Toronto Raptors fan. The hip-hop superstar is also very good friends with LeBron James, with the pair both associated with Nike and having overlapping business ventures together. He has been around basketball for as long as he’s been famous, with players also loving Drake and his music.

James will likely call his good friend after this and ask him not to bet on the Lakers to avoid the curse. Of course, we’re kidding. Or are we? We will find out if Drake reveals his bets before Saturday’s Game 3 matchup between the Lakers and Grizzlies.
