Allen Iverson: ‘LeBron James Is The GOAT’

Allen Iverson has given his verdict on who he thinks is the real GOAT of basketball. The debate was heated in the prior months to the NBA return but now AI has given his take on the always controversial topic. He joined legendary rapper Fat Joe on his ‘The Fat Joe Show’ to discuss a variety of topics.

This debate has mostly been between two people, LeBron James and Michael Jordan. Of course, he needed to answer who is the greatest basketball player of all time, and he had a lot of good things to say about LeBron, picking him over MJ, calling him ‘the one.’

“I love what’s the best man. You dig what I’m saying?” He then added, “I’m not gonna fight what’s the best. Like much as I love Michael Jordan, man LeBron James is one dawg, he the one man. That m*****F***** is the one. Kevin Durant is the one man.”

Iverson and Jordan have a very good relationship and the Answer even admitted MJ was his idol while growing up. This hasn’t changed, according to him, but his stance on the GOAT has certainly had. Back in 2018, the Philadelphia 76ers legend picked His Airness as the best to ever do it, stating that Jordan ‘is always going to be the GOAT.’

“Man….. listen. First of all, I love LeBron,” Iverson previously said, per CBS Sports. “I have nothing but love for LeBron. That’s the best player of his generation, one of the best ever, a great husband, great father, great role model, and it’s even beyond that: What he’s doing with that school in Akron?? It’s a beautiful thing. But y’all. We’re talking about Mike. We’re talking about Mike, O.K.?? We’re talking about Black Jesus himself. And I don’t really have much more to say beyond that. Mike is the GOAT……. Mike is always going to be the GOAT. And please don’t even insult me with any of this “stats, AI!” business, like you have a chance of changing my mind.”

This will certainly bring even more controversy to this topic, but AI seems confident with his response. Several people consider LeBron James and Michael Jordan the two best players in history, so it’s not crazy if you put one or another as #1 and #2.
