Baron Davis made a big revelation about his thoughts on the early 2000s Los Angeles Clippers, who were a flashy team but couldn't win to save their lives. They were fun to watch but that wasn't enough for them to win.
However, that was apparently enough for BD to wanting to join that team, as he revealed in 2019 during an interview with Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles on The Players' Tribune's "Knuckleheads" podcast. Curiously, Miles and Richardson were part of that team. From 1999 through 2005, Davis was part of the Charlotte/New Orleans Hornets but he did say he was a big fan of those Clippers and even thought of joining them.
"Ya'll was out there flossin'. Ya'll was out there losing, having fun, crossing people up, throwing lobs. I was like 'Damn, I wanna go over there and lose with them fools,'" he said two years ago.
That team was composed of the aforementioned Miles and Richardson, Elton Brand, Lamar Odom, and more players. The Clippers didn't make the leap until Blake Griffin and Chris Paul arrived a couple of year later but there is no doubt that watching that team was very entertaining.
Davis would end up in the team in 2008, playing three years there, right before CP3, Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan took over and took off. He had the desire to join the first 'famous' Clippers team but that never happened. He retired as a 2x NBA All-Star, an All-NBA Third Team member and a 2x Steals leader.
