Devin Booker Emulates Russell Westbrook’s “Rock-The-Baby” Celebration During Suns Win vs. Lakers

Friday night duel between the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns was very entertaining for all the taunts and controversies we saw. Instead of giving fans a thrilling match, the Suns dominated their rivals, fueling this rivalry that appears to be bigger.

One of the best moments of the night happened when Devin Booker hit Russell Westbrook’s famous ‘rock-the-baby’ celebration. The 2017 NBA MVP got an and-one on Booker, doing his celebration.

In the 3rd quarter, the Suns shooting guard did the same thing to Kent Bazemore, getting the foul call and the bucket, emulating what Russ previously did. As soon as he got the points, the player rocked the baby in a clear message to Brodie.

Just like Book, more Suns’ players were ready to send a message to the Lakers. Cameron Payne talked smack to LeBron James, who called him out and told him to be humble. The guard seemingly didn’t care about it and kept barking at James.

The Suns did a terrific job against the Lakers. They dominated them in the first round of the 2021 playoff, sending them home in six games. Nothing has changed for them this season, as Monty Williams once again dismantled Frank Vogel’s squad.

Phoenix wants to improve what they did last season and aren’t missing a chance to send their message. At the same time, the Lakers can’t find their touch. They’ve lost the last nine games, seven in the preseason and two in the regular season.

The picture isn’t that promising for the Lakers, but they’re confident that things can get better in the future. We have to wait and see how they make it, but the first two games of the term didn’t bring more hope to the Lakers Nation.
