The reigning 2x NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is apparently having a movie dedicated to the story of him and his family and he’s already recruiting actors for the project.
On Twitter, he posted a message announcing the news, as well as an invitation for folks to audition to join the cast.
Disney is making a movie based on my family’s story and they are searching for actors to play me and my brother, Thanasis, in our younger days. No experience necessary! It helps if you resemble the handsome boys pictured below and have some basketball experience. SPREAD THE WORD!

The son of undocumented immigrants from Nigeria, Giannis, and his brother, Thanasis, grew up in Athens, Greece, hawking watches and bags to help the family make money. After he began playing basketball in 2009, his world slowly changed until he eventually became one of the world’s premier basketball stars.
Very little information has been released on the details of the film, only that they’re looking for actors and that it will follow a real-life account of their story.
Giannis, 25, is coming off his second-straight season as the NBA’s MVP. He averaged 29.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 5.6 assists on 55.3% shooting.
