Kendrick Perkins Explains One Big Flaw With The Brooklyn Nets: “One Thing That You Have To Have Is Chemistry…”

With Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving, the Brooklyn Nets seemingly have everything they need to take home the Championship this season. When it comes to scoring, nobody in the league can top Brooklyn’s capabilities.

Still, some have their doubts that the Nets are in a position to win this year, given the limited time their roster has had to build chemistry with each other. In an appearance on ESPN, NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins explained that point, and why it could cost them the crown this upcoming postseason…

“They are going to weather the injuries in the regular season. But I do have concerns because the playoffs are in the near future and one thing that you have to have is chemistry. We all know that James Harden, Kyrie, and KD could go out there and get buckets at any given time but the chemistry is for the others. How are they going to fit in?

Because I am watching Jeff Green, whose playing phenomenal right now. Joe buckets, Joe Harris, whatever you want to call him, he’s putting in work right now. So, to have the Big Three up altogether will affect the others. I want to see how that’s going to be because you need the chemistry. You need guys being stars in a row.”

While the Nets are certainly deserving to be considered the Championship favorites, Perk does have a point.

Between the mid-season acquisition of Harden, and the signings of Aldridge and Griffin, there have been a lot of new players on the roster. Injuries have also played a key role in their campaign, as both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have missed significant chunks of time.

The question is, have the Nets built up enough chemistry to win the title this season? Ultimately, we’ll just have to wait and find out, but it must sound like good news to Lakers fans…
