Ever since entering the league, LeBron James’ career has been nothing sort of a fairy tale. Even before making his debut in the NBA, he was burdened with the responsibility of becoming the next big thing in the NBA. Now, being a 37-year-old, James has certainly lived up to the hype that was created around him.

But at the same time, many fans have started to wonder for how long we will get to witness his greatness in the league? LeBron is yet to show any major signs of slowing down despite just finishing the 19th season of his career, as he was one of the top contenders to win the 2022 scoring title.

Unfortunately, all his efforts this season have gone to waste. Anyway, the King is still under contract with the Los Angeles Lakers for another season. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent in 2023.

So fans might wonder why James is not signing a contract extension with the Lakers? Well, new reports have suggested that LBJ is unlikely to sign a new contract with the Purple & Gold.

There is a chance that he might return to the Cleveland Cavaliers and will hope for his son Bronny James to join the Cavs too. Cavs superstar Kevin Love recently opened up about this conclusion to James’ amazing career.

Via FanSided:

“I mean, that’s like a storybook ending for him. I don’t want to project what he may or may not want to do, but where our team is trending and how we’re set up to win for a very long time and how much you know, Cleveland and Akron and all of Ohio loves him. It’d be great to get Bronny over here too and then we’ll call it a day.”

While it does seem like a perfect ending for LeBron’s career, his son, Bronny, cannot enter the NBA until 2024. If James decides to go to Cleveland, he will most likely only sign a one-year contract with the team.

Later on, if Bronny gets drafted by the Cavs, he will certainly look for an extension and at least hope to share the court with his son for one season.
