Luka Doncic Admits He Was Aware Of Having The Same Number Of Points As Phoenix Suns At Halftime In Game 7: “Yes Of Course.”

Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks have upset the Phoenix Suns in the second round, and they are now in the Western Conference Finals. Many people expected the Phoenix Suns to win Game 7, and it is clear that the Dallas Mavericks were not expected to be in the position they're in.

Ahead of the series, Luka Doncic admitted that he "never expected" to be in the Western Conference Finals, and added that he's living his "best life". There's no doubt that it's incredible that he managed to get to the Conference Finals at 23 while upsetting a No. 1 seed.

“Honestly, I never expected to be here. So, I’m living my best life. I was worried before Game 7, I was thinking ‘this might be my last game of the NBA season’. But I wasn’t ready. I wanted to play more basketball... I'm just happy to be playing basketball.

While Luka Doncic did manage to eliminate the Phoenix Suns this year, the path does not get any easier for him. The Golden State Warriors had 3 All-Stars this year, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins. They also have good scorers in Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson. This definitely won't be an easy team to beat whatsoever, and Draymond Green has already expressed confidence that the Warriors would be winning the 2022 NBA championship.

With that being said, Luka Doncic would likely be the best player in this series. That is definitely a benefit for the Dallas Mavericks, but no great player wins alone. The Dallas Mavericks are a good defensive squad, but Luka Doncic will need some of his teammates such as Jalen Brunson and Spencer Dinwiddie to step up offensively for the team to have a chance at winning this series.

It remains to be seen if the Dallas Mavericks can do the impossible and get to the NBA Finals. It is hard to see them beating the Warriors, but with Luka Doncic, anything can happen.
