LeBron James is one of the greatest players in NBA history, and many consider him the greatest small forward of all time. He played at a high level during the 2021-22 season, averaging 30.3 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 6.2 APG for the Los Angeles Lakers.

After the Lakers' disappointing season, there have been some suggestions that LeBron James could leave the team if they do not do well, and "punt" the next season. However, it seems as though it is unlikely that LeBron James will leave the Los Angeles Lakers unless it is for a very specific opportunity.

NBA insider Marc Stein has recently revealed that LeBron James would only leave the Los Angeles Lakers if he got an opportunity to play with his son, Bronny James, on another team.

The prevailing thinking in league circles holds that only the chance to play elsewhere alongside son Bronny James, who will be eligible for the 2024 draft and continues to develop as an NBA prospect, would spur LeBron to push for an L.A. exit.

There is no doubt that drafting Bronny James and thus getting LeBron James is an intriguing proposition for a lot of NBA teams. Even though he is entering the twilight of his career, LeBron James can still be a player that helps a franchise win at the highest level.

There have been reports that have suggested the Los Angeles Lakers are trying to make moves to improve the team and help LeBron James and Anthony Davis win a championship in the future. One of those moves involves the Los Angeles Lakers moving point guard Russell Westbrook to acquire Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving.

Hopefully, we see LeBron James be able to compete for more championships in the future. He still has a good amount of time left in the league, and James winning another championship isn't out of the question.
