Houston Rockets Stephen Silas could be the latest head coach in the NBA to lose his job due to poor results. Laker Nation is calling for the firing of Frank Vogel but that seems unlikely at this time.

Amid a 15-game losing streak, it is being reported that the Rockets are considering parting ways with Silas. According to Bleacher Report, multiple league sources have reported that the franchise is weighing Silas' future with the team.

"Now, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation have indicated to B/R that Rockets brass are weighing the future of Stephen Silas, who may become the league's next coach to be terminated, following Luke Walton's exit in Sacramento last weekend."

These sources further revealed that Silas' objective was to develop young prospects, including Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green. Playoff contention was out of the question, as the Rockets have fully embraced a rebuild and refused to set unrealistic targets for Silas.

NBA executives have spoken on the issue, with most rallying around Silas. While his sack will be unfortunate, it is likely the best option for both parties. He was brought in when James Harden and Russell Westbrook were with the team, with different objectives. Catering to a really young squad might have been outside of his purview.

"They put him in a tough position," said one assistant general manager. "[Silas] is genuinely one of the nicest people in the NBA. He actually cares about people. To put him with a bunch of really young dudes who probably don't care about anything but their numbers and playing time, he's just not the right fit."

The Rockets have one of the most inexperienced teams in the league, but 15 straight losses will undoubtedly raise eyebrows. For now, there is nothing official regarding the dismissal, but it might be on the horizon.

The Rockets' struggles will likely continue as they host the in-form Chicago Bulls next. The Bulls are one of the most exciting teams in the league right now, and they rank 3rd in the Eastern Conference standings with a 12-6 run.
