Zlatan Ibrahimovic Criticizes LeBron James: ‘I Don’t Like When People With A ‘Status’ Speak About Politics. Do What You’re Good Doing.’

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and one of the most polarizing figures in the world of sports and he’s not afraid of speaking his mind regardless of if that earns him more hate or love. The Swedish soccer star recently talked about activism in sports, revealing that he didn’t like what he’s watching from certain figures in recent times.

He specifically talked about Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, one of the most committed athletes to fight social justice matters in America, creating foundations and initiatives to get more people involved and fighting against the issues currently happening in the country. Well, the AC Milan striker recently criticized the King, claiming that he should stick to sports and not get involved in political stuff.

“(LeBron) is phenomenal at what he’s doing, but I don’t like when people have some kind of status, they go and do politics at the same time,” Ibrahimovic told UEFA for Discovery+ in Sweden. “Do what you’re good at. Do the category you do. I play football because I’m the best at playing football. I don’t do politics. If I would be a political politician, I would do politics.

“That is the big first mistake people do when they become famous and they become in a certain status. Stay out of it. Just do what you do best because it doesn’t look good.”

James has been one of the most outspoken players in the NBA against racial injustices. He has made it clear that he didn’t like former POTUS Donald Trump and never hid his favoritism for Joe Biden, who was elected as president of the United States in November.

LBJ has been actively trying to create new opportunities for the less fortunate, sending young people to college with this “I Promise” foundation and more. You may disagree with some of his views but there is no doubt that LeBron has done a lot more than just do the useless talk. Perhaps Zlatan just wants him to “shut up and dribble” but that’s not who LeBron James is.
