LeBron James is one of the best players of our generation, and for many, he is the greatest basketball player to ever play in the NBA. Even after turning 38 years old, LeBron has continued to play at an elite level and proved to the entire world that he is still far from done.

James currently dons the iconic jersey of the Los Angeles Lakers. LeBron James even helped the team win an NBA Championship in 2020, but aside from that, his time with the Lakers has been pretty disappointing.

Even in the 2022-23 NBA season, despite James averaging monster numbers, the Lakers have a record of 20-25. As a result, many believe that LeBron will demand a trade this offseason. Shockingly, there have been rumors about James potentially getting traded to the Golden State Warriors and forming a superteam with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green.

LeBron James To The Warriors An Unlikely Move Per NBA Insider

LeBron James asking for a trade in 2023 is one of the biggest predictions of the year. But according to longtime NBA insider David Aldridge of The Athletic, James’ potential move to the Golden State Warriors is very unlikely due to the Warriors wanting to protect their young core.

Via The Athletic:

Finally, while the Warriors want to keep Steph Curry’s window open as long as possible, I can’t see the Lakers being interested in any Golden State package centered around their young trio of James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga and/or Moses Moody. Nor would the Lakers do anything to help their in-state rivals extend their dynasty.

LeBron is averaging a stunning 29.8 PPG, 8.4 RPG, and 7.0 APG this season. So the Warriors will certainly be getting a great player in James. Him partnering up with Curry would be an amazing sight to see for fans. But at the same time, the Warriors want to preserve their young core in order to stay competitive after Curry and co. inevitably retire from the NBA in the coming years.
