Skip Bayless taking shots at LeBron James is one of the most common occurrences in the world, nothing is surprising about it. However, the notoriously difficult to please Bayless has done so this time while showing confidence in another aging NBA superstar in Chris Paul. Paul dropped a masterclass in the 4th quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans without Devin Booker in Game 3, incidentally earning praise from James himself.

And he impressed Bayless too, who went on to suggest that CP3 could actually win his first NBA title even if Devin Booker’s injury hampers the team. Booker, who aggravated his hamstring against the Pelicans and is due to miss a few weeks, is obviously a huge factor for the Suns. But Paul’s clutch shooting earned them a win in Game 3, which is what drew praise from Skip.

Well, maybe Chris Paul CAN win his first ring without Devin Booker. He just did it again, taking over the 4th quarter with 19 points, scoring clutch buckets at will. He's almost as old as LeBron, who's no longer capable of closing like this.

LeBron James, who put up some extremely historic stats during this regular season, wasn’t able to lead his Lakers side to the postseason, which is obviously something that his doubters are holding against him. Stats without a winning record usually get panned in the NBA, and it’s no surprise to see Bayless taking shots at LeBron for something like this.

Regardless, the Suns will be hoping that CP stays hot, the game was close despite his heroics and the Pelicans will prove to be a challenge even without Booker present. Paul has the team to make another run to the Finals around him, especially if his co-star can return, and grabbing that elusive NBA title will do wonders for the Point God’s legacy.
