LeBron James has struggled a lot against the Denver Nuggets, especially from the 3-point line. The King is always ready to attack the paint, and he does that effectively, but when it comes to his long-range shots, James can’t make a shot to save his life.

Darvin Ham has advised LeBron to do what he does best and leave the 3-pointers to others, as he has made zero in two games against the Nuggets. Stephen A. Smith said something similar, sending a big message to the four-time NBA champion following a bad night from beyond the arc.

“Show your muscles every chance you get. Use them! Stop shooting the three! Stay off the threeeeee… Please,” Smith said on his self-named show.

LeBron has been really bad from deep, and everybody has urged him to stop attempting these shots. However, as Jamal Murray showed on Thursday night, you gotta keep shooting, and they’ll eventually start falling.

It’s very likely that LeBron will take this approach, but it remains unclear if the shots will be effective for him. The Lakers hope to see something different from LeBron in Game 3 as they start their quest to tie the series after going down 0-2.

LeBron James Has Been Terrible From Beyond The Arc Against The Nuggets

As of right now, James is averaging 23.3% from the 3-point line on 6.4 attempts per game. All these numbers get worse in the 4th quarter of games; he’s shooting only 5% from deep and 34.6% from the field while averaging only 4.5 PPG in this quarter.

LeBron needs to do more if he wants to lead his team to the NBA Finals. He posted solid numbers on Thursday but still looked gassed at some point in the game. He missed dunks, was stripped off the ball, and couldn’t make the plays down the stretch.

The King and co. need to wake up for Game 3, or the Lakers will get themselves in a hole that will be hard to get out of.
