Ahead of the 2023 NBA Draft, Brandon Miller has been viewed as a consensus top-3 pick. During his time with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Miller showcased elite jump-shooting and scoring ability. That aspect, paired with his 6’9″ frame, has led many people to believe that he can be a star-level wing player in the future.
There was some uncertainty about whether Brandon Miller would go No. 2, as the Charlotte Hornets were debating between him and Scoot Henderson. Ultimately, the team decided to go with Miller.

There’s no doubt that Brandon Miller would be a good fit next to franchise player LaMelo Ball. If he can become an elite shot creator in the future, Miller could become a franchise cornerstone for the team. Though a lot of people believe Henderson is a better player than Miller, there is a small gap between their talent levels.
This past season with Alabama, Brandon Miller averaged 18.8 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 2.1 APG while shooting 38.4% from the 3PT range. He should be able to contribute day one for the Hornets, and hopefully, we see him develop into a franchise-altering player befitting of his draft status.
