The New York Knicks series against the Miami Heat has been defined by its physicality and defense, and there’s no doubt that both sides are playing an extremely tough brand of basketball. Due to the intense nature of the series, it is unsurprising that tempers flared in Game 3.

On one possession, Heat center Cody Zeller and Knicks forward Julius Randle were fighting for a rebound. The possession ended with the duo getting into an altercation, though it is clear that they were separated before things got too out of hand.

It is clear that sometimes things like this happen on the court, especially in games of this nature where teams are grinding it out in an old-fashioned way. Hopefully, we see fewer altercations between the two teams in the future, though, and we’ll see what ends up happening for the rest of the series. The physicality will likely continue, though, as that is simply the style that both teams play.

The New York Knicks Are Monitoring Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Situation With The Milwaukee Bucks

The New York Knicks are a franchise that has a history of targeting big-time players, and these playoffs have shown that the team is a superstar away from being a true contender. A previous report suggested that the team has its eyes on Giannis Antetokounmpo as of right now, and it will be interesting to see if they can land him in the future.

“Is Giannis gonna extend? I don’t know, and that uncertainty is what the league is watching right now. The New York Knicks, for example, they got 99% of their attention on the Miami Heat and 3% of their attention on Milwaukee. What’s going on over there? I was in Cleveland with LeBron James. He was a non-renewable resource for Cleveland. If he walks out the door, he’s not coming back. In Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo is a non-renewable resource.”

There’s no doubt that acquiring Giannis Antetokounmpo would be a heist for the New York Knicks, especially if that ends up happening via free agency. They have the assets to build a fantastic team around him as well, and they would be a great destination for any star, even if it isn’t Giannis Antetokounmpo.
