The Battle Of The Brands: Ranking The Top 5 Best Teams

Getting a huge endorsement deal is one of basketball players’ biggest dreams growing up, but just a handful of them are lucky – and good – enough to fulfill that dream when they make it to the pros.

Contents
  • 5. Under Armour
    • Patty Mills, Dennis Smith Jr, Stephen Curry, Kent Bazemore, Terrance Ferguson
  • 4. Puma
    • Terry Rozier, Danny Green, Rudy Gay, DeMarcus Cousins, Deandre Ayton
  • 3. Jordan Brand
    • Jimmy Butler, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony
  • 2. Adidas
    • Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Brandon Ingram, Kristaps Porzingis
  • 1. Nike
    • Kyrie Irving, Paul George, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis

Even so, obviously, there are most appealing brands than others, either because of the quality of their products or because they have historically been represented by some of the best players in the world.

But, if we were to put together an all-brand squad to go at it and try to prove which brand is the best, which players would we pick? Let’s take a look at the brand’s best starting fives.

5. Under Armour

Patty Mills, Dennis Smith Jr, Stephen Curry, Kent Bazemore, Terrance Ferguson

Well, judging for what we’re saying out of Under Armour, size and big men aren’t their biggest strength, with all these starting five featuring guards, and Stephen Curry being their marquee player.

Under Armour seems to like sharpshooters, with Mills joining Steph in the starting lineup. However, high-flying guards like Dennis Smith Jr, Kent Bazemore and Terrance Ferguson are the ones going to be asked to put on a show.

4. Puma

Terry Rozier, Danny Green, Rudy Gay, DeMarcus Cousins, Deandre Ayton

Team Puma looks way more balanced than Under Armour, with them, at least, featuring one player per spot. Also, they have some nifty defenders in Danny Green and Rudy Gay. They have a really interesting squad.

Terry Rozier and DeMarcus Cousins can score in bunches from all three levels, while Deandre Ayton surges as their bet for the future. Can the former 1st overall pick live up to the expectations?

3. Jordan Brand

Jimmy Butler, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony

Jordan has put together quite a decent team over the course of recent years, even with some of them being controversial and polarizing players of the likes of Russell Westbrook, Jimmy Butler and Carmelo Anthony.

Chris Paul was the league’s best point guard for almost a decade and he developed a strong rapport with Blake Griffin – at least on the court – so this team would be pretty dope to watch for sure.

2. Adidas

Damian Lillard, Donovan Mitchell, James Harden, Brandon Ingram, Kristaps Porzingis

Adidas has tried to keep up with Nike with his NBA endorsements and truth to be told, they’ve put together a team that would really be contending to win a Championship featuring 5 Western Conference stars.

Brandon Ingram, Donovan Mitchell and Kristaps Porzingis are set to dominate this league for years to come, while Damian Lillard and James Harden are a couple of the most unstoppable scorers in the league.

1. Nike

Kyrie Irving, Paul George, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis

This Nike team would have no competition to win the NBA title, the FIBA World Cup, the Olympics, the Jordan Bulls and every single team to ever set foot on the face of the earth (or even outer space, like the Monstars), except the Original Dream Team.

Nike has done an outstanding job locking up 5 of the best 7 players in the NBA, and now, they’ll try to put the cherry on top of the sundae by signing standout prospect Zion Williamson, according to reports.
