Trae Young had some good things to say on Monday night during a Q&A session he had on Twitter. Trae received a lot of questions from fans and his responses were quite interesting. Not only did he place LeBron James ahead of Michael Jordan on his top 5 list of players in history, but he named the three best defenders in the league, surprising more people.

Young picked New Orleans Pelicans’ point guard Jrue Holiday, Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard of the Los Angeles Clippers as the top 3 defenders in the association.

Holiday is indeed one of the best defenders in the league. Even though he doesn’t get the same credit as other PGs in the NBA, Jrue has cemented his name as one of the best defenders in the game, getting praised by several players.

Klay Thompson is also a great defender, and he was even named to the NBA Second-Team All-Defensive Team in 2019.

As for Kawhi, it’s not a secret that he’s one of the best defenders in the league. At the beginning of his career, he was mostly known for his ability to stop rivals and fight for rebounds against taller players. Now that his offense has gotten a lot better, Kawhi is arguably the best two-way player in the league.

Young is used to nutmegging his rivals and making creative plays to surpass his defenders, so his opinion on this matter should be taken seriously.
