Skip Bayless Didn’t Like When LeBron James Assisted Danny Green For Game-Tying 3: “If That’s Michael Jeffrey Jordan, He Shoots The 3 To Tie The Game. It’s What GOATS Do.”

Skip Bayless doesn’t stop taking shots at LeBron James and he takes every little opportunity he has to do so. After Michael Jordan’s documentary ‘The Last Dance’, the GOAT debate has been a recurrent topic around the league and Bayless has increased his attacks towards the King, taking advantage of the situation.

On Tuesday’s edition of FS1’s Undisputed, Bayless took a shot at Bron for assisting Danny Green for a game-tying 3-pointer against the Dallas Mavericks last November.

He compared that with what Michael Jordan would’ve done in that situation, explaining what GOATs do.

“If that’s Michael Jeffrey Jordan, he just says ‘I got this’, he puts the move on Delon Wright and he shoots the 3 to tie the game. It’s what GOATs do, they shoot the shoot to tie the game, it’s do or die, shoot the shot. (…) If Dwight Howard doesn’t pull Seth Curry back and he’s is free to run to the corner with Danny Green, LeBron is gonna be stuck under the basket all dressed up and nowhere to go and he’s so blessed that Danny was able to catch it, let his defender fly by and barely got the shot away before the buzzer went off. It’s an extraordinary lucky play because if Dwight doesn’t get away with what should’ve been immediately called an offensive foul and end of the game, then LeBron’s stuck with nowhere to go.”

That’s a pretty good description of the play, but as we saw in ‘The Last Dance’, Michael Jordan also learned how to use his teammates when he didn’t have the chance to make the shot. He did it and it worked for him when John Paxson sank that 3 against the Phoenix Suns in 1993 or when Steve Kerr nailed a clutch shot in the 1997 Finals against the Jazz.

GOATs take the last shot, yes, but they also know when and where to find their open teammates to take it.
