Markieff Morris Says The Lakers Will Beat The Clippers 4-0 In The 2020 Playoffs

2 Min Read

When it comes to thew 2020 postseason, nobody really knows what to expect. When will basketball return, how will the seeding be decided, and which teams will face off against each other?

There are a lot of questions that need answering, but Markieff Morris seems very confident in one thing: the ability for his Lakers to win the 2020 NBA Championship. In a conversation with Bleacher Report, Morris predicted that his team could beat the Clippers in a 4-0 series sweep in the playoffs.

Good on Morris to show some confidence in his crew. Many players in his position would have said the same thing.

But do the Lakers really have a chance of pulling it off? With LeBron James and Anthony Davis, anything certainly seems possible. Together, they account for roughly 52 points per game this season and have really helped set the tone defensively for L.A.

The Clippers, however, are no joke either. They’ve got Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Patrick Beverley, and a bench consisting of guys that could start on most teams. In their regular-season series matchup, the Clippers hold a 2-1 edge in victories.

It’s tough to say for certain what a Laker vs Clipper playoff series would look like, especially with all that’s been going on. There’s reason to give the benefit of the doubt to both teams here. Alas, this is something we’ll just have to wait and see.
