Becoming a competitive franchise in the NBA is more difficult as years go by. But turning a franchise around and putting them in a position to compete for a sustained period of time seems almost impossible right now.

Superstars leaving for bigger markets, trades, changes in the coaching staff or front office are just some of the countless reasons that can throw a promising process down the drain in no time. In other cases, the team’s executives just seem lost and unwilling to change.

That’s why some teams have struggled for such a long period of time, or what other teams compete for just a couple of years and then just can’t seem to keep up the pace. Today, we’re going to let you know about every team’s record since the 2015-16 season.

Note: All records are updated until July 30, 2020.
