NBA Executive Says The Knicks Are The Only Team In The NBA That Is A Good Fit For Russell Westbrook

2 Min Read

After another early playoff exit, the Houston Rockets find themselves in a state of uncertainty regarding the future.

Thanks to his highly controversial game, and his struggles in this year’s playoffs, Russell Westbrook is stuck in the middle of all the chatter and will likely find himself in the middle of trade rumors when the NBA offseason finally begins.

But which teams are a good fit for the former MVP? One league executive suggested that the Knicks may be the only team out there that could make things work with the star point guard.

“The [New York] Knicks might be one of the only teams that could be a fit for Westbrook,” the executive continued. “Not sure if there are any others.”

The Knicks’ search for a star has not yet yielded the desired results, despite their rivals across the city already having two.

While Westbrook couldn’t win a title on his own, getting him would be a step in the right direction for the Knicks, who could then focus their energy on trying to build a roster that compliments his game.

Most importantly, though, the Knicks would finally have a face, a guy to galvanize the organization and its fans and give them hope for the future.

There are definitely worse ways to go for a struggling franchise than picking up an MVP and 9x NBA All-Star.
