The Golden State Warriors have been involved in trade rumors for some time now and every day we find a new candidate to make it to the Bay to join the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. One of the latest names to be linked with the Dubs is Victor Oladipo. The shooting guard has expressed his desire to continue with the Indiana Pacers, but making it clear that he wants to win more than anything, leaving the door open for a potential move away from Indiana.

The Warriors could be a good destination for him, but not everybody believes he would be a good addition to the team. As a matter of fact, an NBA analyst has urged the Warriors to look elsewhere since Oladipo’s injury history might be a problem for them.

“I would stay very far away from this situation,” NBC Sports NBA Insider Tom Haberstroh told NBC Sports Bay Area’s Grant Liffmann last week. “Victor Oladipo is much closer to Isaiah Thomas 2.0 than the Victor Oladipo of old.

“After that really bad quad injury, I haven’t seen (a player) that would command anything that the Warriors should give up in a trade for a guy who is looking at a contract year to prove that he can be a front-line scorer.”

We all know the story of IT’s downfall in the league. He went from having two All-Star seasons to being a free agent this year. Thomas is trying to make a comeback to the league but nobody has offered him an opportunity yet.

According to Haberstroh, Dipo could be on the same path that Thomas, so he should be a no-no for the Warriors.
