NBA fans are always ready to debate and even though some things aren’t debatable, people somehow find a way to create controversy with the topics happening around the league. For instance, one fan compared LeBron James and Kevin Durant’s seasons, picking the latter over the former since he’s returning from a career-ending injury.
Twitter user @DrGuru made the case for the Brooklyn Nets player over LeBron, explaining that what he’s doing is more impressive than what the King is achieving in his 18th NBA season. James is having the best 18th season in league history but Durant is playing better than he played in his MVP season.

This sparked a debate, with fans picking their sides and making the case for their favorites players. Some said what KD is doing was already done while LeBron is having an entire life playing at the highest level.
KD always get disrespected by the media.. Bron should return his 2013 mvp to him too pic.twitter.com/qhWeref3vL

What KD is doing has sorta been done before (Wilkins) not to discredit it, its certainly insane but there is a precedent. Even today a guy like John Wall is returning from an achilles among other things at nearly full form

Most overrated, most protected, and most congratulated for "greatness" when he does things other players are criticized for.

Jordan was putting up better numbers during his Wizards time. Jordan will forever be more impressive than LeHentai.

It’s crazy how he’s getting no MVP love.

Not really. It was his nobe dominant shooting leg. The chances of recovering to form was much higher

Imagine if everytime KD made a bucket, the commentators said "and he's just come off an achilles injury".

They're both impressive, lwt sleeve it at that, they also have very different strengths and weaknesses which factor into their play

They're hyping Bron and I don't care,…. NBA is just unfair to other players

The media don't want no one over shadowing their cash cow

I know two bronsexuals who would tell you otherwise too lol

Being Durable for a 18 year stretch is more impressive. No major injury even after 10 finals

The LeBron James-Kevin Durant rivalry is set to reach new levels this season, especially knowing that their respective teams are seen as favorites to play in the Finals. The season is still young but even Anthony Davis sees the Nets as the biggest threat for the Lakers this campaign.
Time will tell if we get to see another LeBron-Durant matchup in the Finals. As for now, we just have to sit and enjoy what these two are doing in a season where all their haters expected them to be just bad.
