Charles Barkley Says The Lakers Can’t Beat The Nuggets And The Blazers In The Playoffs Even With LeBron James

2 Min Read

Charles Barkley isn’t so fond of the Los Angeles Lakers and their chances to win it all this season. Before the start of the season, a lot of teams around the league improved their roster to try to compete with the purple and gold and some franchises could make a lot of noise this campaign.

There are some squads that are ready to take the next step and dethrone the Lakers, who have struggled without LeBron James and Anthony Davis. AD is finally back to the court and Bron is getting closer to a return but for Chuck, that won’t be enough for the team to defend their title. During the latest edition of NBA on TNT, Barkley made the case against the purple and gold in the Western Conference playoffs.

He said that the Lakers couldn’t get past the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers, even with LeBron James on the court. The player said something similar about the Clippers and the dangers of the No. 3 seed, which could mean they face Damian Lillard or Luka Doncic in the first round of the postseason (5:53).

It was a very entertaining night for Chuck, who also predicted the Milwaukee Bucks will win the East after a big win over the Philadelphia 76ers. He also said that the Utah Jazz can win it all since a lot of people are overlooking them.

“I think the Utah Jazz can win the championship. The whole thing. They have the coach of the year, they have two All-Stars, the Sixth Man of the Year,” Barkley said.

The playoffs are getting closer and teams will have to step up if they want to win the championship. This season is very competitive and even though some teams look better on paper, there is not a clear favorite to win the NBA championship.
