Paul George is currently having one of the best seasons of his career, averaging 26.7 PPG, 7.8 RPG, and 5.4 APG. He has been the No. 1 offensive option for the Los Angeles Clippers with co-star Kawhi Leonard sidelined with an injury.
During previous years, there have been some suggestions that Paul George is unable to lead a franchise due to his struggles in the playoffs. However, Paul George proved his haters wrong during the 2020-21 playoffs, and it’s very clear that he is capable of leading a franchise based on what we’ve seen during the 2021-22 season. He was in MVP conversations during the 2018-19 season, and there is a possibility that Paul George could be the 2021-22 MVP.
Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra has recently spoken out and praised Paul George, telling the media that “he’s always been capable” of being a franchise player, and added that this version of him is “the Paul George we know”. Paul George has been the face of the franchise before with the Indiana Pacers, so he clearly has the experience of being a No. 1.

There is no doubt that Paul George is a superstar-level wing, and he has been absolutely stellar thus far. The Clippers are 7-4, and it’s clear that Paul George has been delivering so far.
Hopefully, we see Paul George bring the Clippers to the playoffs, even without Kawhi Leonard. The Clippers have a lot of great veterans surrounding Paul George, and it is quite possible that we see them make the postseason, despite some people’s doubts about how good their roster is.
