We all know that Kevin Durant is one of the best superstars in the league. Thus far, he has been putting up insane numbers, averaging 28.5 PPG, 10.2 RPG, and 5.3 APG. It’s clear that he’s continued his exploits on the court.

Outside of the court though, Kevin Durant is known by NBA fans for being an avid social media user, in particular favoring the use of Twitter to express himself. Recently, he posted a Twitter message that confused many fans and left them speculating on what he meant by it. The message was a one-word Tweet: “Oops”.

It’s unclear what exactly Kevin Durant meant by the Tweet. However, he did recently get fined $25,000 for throwing the ball into the stands during the Brooklyn Nets’ recent game against the Indiana Pacers, so perhaps he’s just referring to the money he lost with his actions. That action drew criticisms from a lot of people. Their number included Pacers coach Rick Carlisle, who was “shocked” that Kevin Durant didn’t get ejected after what he did.

Aside from Kevin Durant’s appeal as a superstar basketball player, he’s also fairly relatable for a lot of young people due to his social media use. He is one of the players that does interact with various fans on social media, often sharing his opinions on trending NBA topics. That has endeared him to a lot of fans, who appreciate the fact that he is willing to Tweet and post just like the rest of us.

While some have criticized Kevin Durant for using Twitter excessively in the past, there’s no doubt that it’s refreshing to see a player that is willing to express their opinions on Twitter and roast their haters. Hopefully, we continue seeing more of that, and perhaps we’ll see more athletes interact with fans on Twitter in the future.
