Lonzo Ball Becomes Only Player To Get Triple-Doubles With Three Different Teams Before Turning 24 Years Old

In the 2021 offseason, the Chicago Bulls completed the sign and trade of Lonzo Ball. Adding Ball to the team was a move to bolster the roster in hopes of having a great regular season and of course the postseason as well.

While Ball is a good player, he has his flaws and many sports pundits were skeptical of this decision made by the Bulls. However, the young point guard has already started to prove his doubters wrong.

The Bulls faced off against Ball’s former team, the New Orleans Pelicans, recently and came out on top. To be honest, the Bulls never let the game slip out of their hands and finished the game with a 128-112 victory.

As you might have already guessed Zach LaVine had a phenomenal game as usual, but it was Lonzo Ball who stole the show. The former second overall pick recorded a stat line of 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, thus getting the first triple-double of his career as a Bulls player.

Getting a triple-double alone is a great feat, but there is something more. Ball has now recorded a triple-double for all the teams that he has played for. Moreover, he is the only player in the history of the NBA to do so before even turning 24-years-old.

During his tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans, Ball had 3 and 4 triple-doubles for them, respectively.

Thanks to this strong performance by Ball, the Chicago Bulls currently hold the top seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 3-0.

With the trio of Lonzo Ball, DeMar DeRozan, and Zach LaVine at the helm, the Bulls have turned into a fine team. Maybe they might finally return to the glory days that they got used to during the dynasty of the Chicago Bulls.

The reason is quite simple, every player on the team is aware of his role and so far fulfilling it with perfection. With players like LaVine and DeRozan, Ball can focus on what he does best. Which is pulling down rebounds and playmaking for his team at an elite level.

If on top of that, he can provide 15-20 points to the team like he did today, this newly formed Bulls team might be the dark horse to come out of the Eastern Conference. Ball earlier said that he will be returning to more of a traditional point guard role and until now that approach is doing wonders for himself and the team.
