Bradley Beal Says Players Are Constantly Recruiting Him: “Almost Every Game We Play, Someone Says Something.”

This season, Bradley Beal decided to stay with the Washington Wizards despite rumors suggesting he was ready to request a trade from the franchise. He was one of those names linked with several teams during the offseason, but the shooting guard decided to run it back with the Wizards.

Still, this decision hasn’t changed anything for rivals. They are constantly in Beal’s ears, trying to lure him away from D.C. and join forces in a different squad. Bradley knows he’s a coveted player, but right now, his focus is on the Wizards.

Talking with Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the veteran admitted he always gets messages from other players trying to team up with him. Still, he’s yet to make a decision on his future.

All eyes are on Ben Simmons and Kyrie Irving now, but everyone from team executives to opposing players continues to monitor the Washington Wizards. “Almost every game we play, someone says something,” Bradley Beal tells me over the phone, regarding how often players recruit him to leave. Anyone around the NBA is aware of the circumstances: Beal could become an unrestricted free agent in 2022, and with the Wizards unlikely to contend for a title before then, opponents are hoping that he’ll ask for a trade or sign elsewhere. But Beal isn’t sure what decision he’ll make when the time comes.

Whichever team takes Beal’s talents will have a big star. Of course, this all depends on if he heads out of Washington. The Wizards aren’t a contender team right now and that won’t change anytime soon.

The 28-year-old will have plenty of options to continue his career in the association, including the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors. They could give him a terrific use in their aspirations to win the NBA championship.
