Skip Bayless Is Ruthless: “Thank You, Atlanta, For Putting The Sixers Out Of Their Misery. Troubled Team. One Star Is Injured Physically, The Other Psychologically.”

Skip Bayless went off on the Philadelphia 76ers after Game 7 of the second-round series. The Atlanta Hawks were a problem for Philly throughout the series, confirming that on Sunday.

Trae Young and co. eliminated the top-seeded in the East, demonstrating they are the real deal even without an All-Star. As soon as the playoffs landed, the Sixers’ flaws showed up. Joel Embiid’s injury, Ben Simmons’ struggles at the FT line, and Doc Rivers’ lack of adjustments.,

Everything played against Philly, resulting in this elimination. Bayless was ready to blast them as soon as the game ended, thanking Atlanta for putting them ‘out of their misery.’

“Thank you, Atlanta, for putting the Sixers out of their misery. Troubled team. One star is injured physically, the other psychologically.”

That is a very harsh statement but not so far from reality. Simmons himself admitted that his shooting struggles were mental. Until he doesn’t fix that, things will keep getting worse.

JoJo will have time to recover this offseason to try to get revenge next campaign. This season started pretty well for the Cameroonian big man, considered an MVP candidate in the first half. After injuries attacked him, it all fell apart for the center.

Now Trae’s Hawks will visit the Milwaukee Bucks in the ECF. At the same time, the Sixers start an offseason that will probably bring significant changes.
