Joel Embiid was visibly frustrated after the Philadelphia 76ers succumbed to the Atlanta Hawks in Game 7 of their second-round series. The Cameroonian center tried and tried but couldn’t get the job done.

As soon as the game ended, plenty of fans started pointing fingers at whoever had the fault for the Sixers’ elimination, but JoJo took that blame, sharing a big message to the fans, apologizing for the failure but promising they’ll be back next season.

PHILLY I LOVE YOU

Sorry to disappoint you again Just know that I gave everything I had knowing the circumstances. If there’s one thing I’ve learned being here, it’s the TOUGHNESS this city has and that’s why I played with a torn meniscus. THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT ALL YEAR LONG!!

Embiid is as tough as they come. His goal for this season was to win a championship and he fought as hard as he could. However, things didn’t go well for the Sixers, and now it’s time to start thinking of the next season.

He vowed to return stronger next campaign, and Philly fans can’t wait to see him leading the team to the promised land.

They did it well this season, but the Sixers are still missing one piece to make that leap and play in the Finals once and for all.
