Marcus Morris On Markieff Coming To Game 6: “No, He Won’t Be Coming To Utah. I Don’t Know Anybody That Wanna Go To Utah. He’s Gonna Stick It Out Here In LA And We’ll See Him When We Come Back.”

Small market teams often live in the shadows. Big-name free agents aren’t interested in joining their teams, thus making it much harder for them to compete at the highest level.

That’s why it’s such a wonderful thing to witness a team like the Utah Jazz, which was built through the draft and some trades, finish the regular season with the best record in the NBA.

The Jazz are two games away from making it back to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in quite some time, but the Los Angeles Clippers won’t go down without a fight, as they showed by evening up the series at two games apiece.

But not even their current success has been enough for them to get some respect around the league. In fact, Clippers forward Marcus Morris just threw some big shade at them when asked if his brother Markieff was going to travel to Salt Lake City to support him:

“No, he won’t be coming to Utah. I don’t know anybody that wanna go to Utah. He’s gonna stick it out here in LA and we’ll see him when we come back,” Morris told the media, as quoted by Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.Th

The Morris twins have always been pretty close and they root for each other regardless of which team they play for. Their bond goes beyond basketball and they even have a joint bank account.

So, it wasn’t odd to think that Markieff would travel to Salt Lake City to support his brother even if he’s currently under contract for the Los Angeles Lakers, but it seems like neither of the Morris twins wants anything to do with that.

Hopefully, these words won’t come back to haunt Marcus the same way it happened to Joakim Noah when he mocked Cleveland.
