Skip Bayless had a big reaction to Stephen Curry naming the hardest defenders he’s had to face in the NBA. Curry was recently asked about the players that have slowed him down the most. The Golden State Warriors scorer is nearly unstoppable but some players have done a great job against him and he hasn’t forgotten. He named his brother Seth, Jrue Holiday, and even Tony Allen. Moreover, he dropped the name of Beverley, including him in his top 4.
“Yes, and no. Jrue Holiday, Avery Bradley, Tony Allen when he was in the league. There are guys that have a knack for being in the right place in the right time, being physical, studying your game, and knowing your moves.
“Never in my mind are you scared that they’re going to stop you. But at the same time, you gotta go harder that particular night or play a little smarter. Maybe like Pat Bev and the antics, you’ve gotta deal with that. But I think those guys exist and they get paid to defend the best guys in the league.”
Beverley caught the attention of Bayless, who said Curry ‘blessed’ him by putting him on his list. During Monday’s edition of FS1’s Undisputed, he said:
“Steph Curry just blessed Patrick Beverley. Steph’s obviously the greatest shooter in the history of this league and he included Pat Bev in his Top 4 defenders!”

Bayless made the case for Beverley, who was questioned by his abilities to defend. He was called out by Russell Westbrook a couple of years ago, with Brodie saying he didn’t defend, he just ran around the corner pretending he was guarding someone.
These types of comments have been recurrent for Pat and Curry giving him this nod is the confirmation that he’s great at his job. You can like it or hate it but his colleagues agree that whatever he does, it works for him.
