Zion Williamson is expected to become a pretty big deal in the NBA in the future but the young player is already doing impressive things on the court in his second season in the league. He hasn’t gotten the attention that Luka Doncic had in his sophomore season but Zion has made sure to become a good player.

This kid is the future of the New Orleans Pelicans and he was touted as the future of the league, too, and he’s already displaying why people have so high expectations about him Williamson is already going at it with established NBA stars and there is one stat that shows how great he’s playing this season.

According to Synergy Basketball, the former Blue Devil is the most efficient high-volume player in the league, surpassing big names like Kawhi Leonard, Joel Embiid, Stephen Curry, and Kyrie Irving.

In 21.9 possessions per game, Zion is scoring 1.18 points, ranking first on this list. He’s followed by Kawhi Leonard with 1.15 points in 22.5 possessions. Joel Embiid scores the same points as Kawhi but he does it in 26.0 possessions. Stephen Curry as well, but he does it in 25.3 possessions while Kyrie Irving closes out the top 5 with 1.13 points in 24.8 possessions.

Zion surpasses more big names like Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, and Damian Lillard. This kid is something special and although his team doesn’t facilitate his job, the 20-year-old is making the most with the teams he has at hand.

This is something impressive and already shows that this man is more than a dunker. The future is bright for this player and his team. If Zion keeps developing, we could be watching the best player of this generation.
