Blake Griffin is one of the names that will be out in the market in the next couple of weeks. The Detroit Pistons big man has been linked with several teams in prior days and now the picture is looking clearer for the former Los Angeles Clippers player.

According to Marc Stein, the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, and Golden State Warriors are interested in Griffin’s services when he’s bought out by the Pistons. Griffin would be a very good addition to any of these teams but these squads have reportedly identified Griffin’s next destination in the association.

The Nets are regarded as a strong contender for Blake Griffin given Brooklyn's rise and his longstanding relationship with players there and the Celtics have also expressed interest, league sources say.

Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that rival teams believe the Nets are a strong contender to sign the player in the next few days. They expect the player to choose the New Yorker and their chances to be a championship favorite this season.

The Brooklyn Nets are believed to be leaders to sign six-time All-Star Blake Griffin, sources tell me and @JLEdwardsIII. Rival teams with interest are expecting Griffin to choose Nets as a title favorite for chance to win a championship.

Blake is averaging a career-low 12.3 points per game over 20 appearances this season, but he remains an interesting candidate to join a team with championship aspirations. He is owed the rest of his $36.6 million salary for this season, plus nearly $39 million for 2021-22. The Pistons could work in a buyout for him if he doesn’t get traded before the deadline next March 25.
