Brandon Ingram On Zion Williamson: “I’ve Never Played With A Player As Talented As Me. He’s A Generational Talent.”

Brandon Ingram has found the perfect partner in Zion Williamson, as these two players have become the figures of the New Orleans Pelicans this season. They have taken their game to the next level this season and Zion keeps showing he can do a lot of great things in the league.

This is the duo of the future for this franchise and they keep confirming that every night. For instance, they combined for 59 points against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night to get the Pels their 14th win of the season. After the game, Ingram was asked about his talented teammate and he didn’t hesitate to praise the 20-year-old, saying he had never played with a player as talented as himself.

“I’ve never played with a player as talented as me. He’s a generational talent,” Ingram said about Zion.

This is a very interesting comment since he’s played with some good names in the game, especially LeBron James, who shared the court with Ingram for a single season in Los Angeles. The forward saw his tenure in L.A. ended when the purple and gold decided to trade him to New Orleans in the blockbuster move that brought Anthony Davis to Southern California.

Ingram appeared to be fine with that move, as he said that playing in New Orleans was easier than playing in Los Angeles but now he threw a massive shade to LeBron James. If you want to take things to the next level, Ingram played with the young core of the Lakers that are making a lot of noise in the league right now.

He’s expected to become a bigger figure in the league and he’s working to achieve that, even earning an All-Star call last season. Just like Zion’s, Ingram’s future is extremely promising and the Pels can’t wait to see what these players are going to do when they reached their best level. Williamson is averaging 25.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game this season while Ingram is posting 23.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.7 assists.
