George Karl Says He Still Detests DeMarcus Cousins With Incredible Tweet

2 Min Read

George Karl took a big shot at DeMarcus Cousins a couple of years after they stopped working together in the NBA. Karl last coached the Sacramento Kings in the association and his tenure in California wasn’t the most desired. He never took the team to the postseason and his relationship with Boogie was anything but the best.

Recently, HoopsHype’s Twitter account tried to play with fans, asking them to create their number with the players they most disliked 10 years ago and the one they dislike right now. Karl wanted to play with a savage tweet, only writing DeMarcus Cousins.

It’s been four years since Karl was fired as the Kings head coach and he hasn’t changed his mind about Boogie. He hated being his coach and Cousins hated playing for him.

One year after Karl left the organization, Cousins was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. A series of injuries prevented the big man from fulfilling his potential, wandering around the league, trying to find stability without success. Ever since he left the Kings, he played for the Pelicans and Golden State Warriors. When he had signed a contract with the Lakers last year, he picked another injury, missing the entire 2020/21 season.

DeMarcus, just like his former coach and nemesis, is trying to find his way back to the league, but his future is unclear right now.
