With professional basketball (and all of major sports) on the shelf until further notice, there had to be some way to entertain NBA fans. On ESPN, the game’s top stars met up for an esports 2k tournament.
As you might expect, it was a night full of exciting moments. Here are some of the best:
Shortly after his virtual match with Zach LaVine, Suns big man Deandre Ayton went on about how powerful Zach was in the game.
“Bro, you’re OP in the game. You got your own dunk package, your own jumpshot animation, crossover animation, you got everything bro,” Ayton said.

Meanwhile, Kevin Durant got absolutely trolled by Evan Turner after his upset loss to Derrick Jones Jr.
@KDTrey5 you know damn well you can’t play these 90s babies in video games. Every kid born after 95 is a top chef

Of course, let’s not forget about Donovan Mitchell’s warning to his opponents.

It was a great night for the NBA, even if we didn’t get to see any real basketball. we got to watch our favorite stars compete in 2k — and it was a nice time.
