The Golden State Warriors are not going to test their players or staff. In the wake of a pandemic that is sweeping the nation, they have elected to conserve the short supply of tests that remain.
Team GM Bob Myers explained more on that ideaology:
“We’ve been told that testing is in short supply and we’re treating ourselves like people, which is what we are. We’re not better than anybody.”

Obviously, Myers is adapting an approach of humility towards the situation.
Because he knows the need for tests in the U.S., he doesn’t want his team to use them if nobody is showing symptoms.
No matter your opinions on the subject, or actions in light of it, this pandemic is impacting everyone around the country. Churches, schools, and business have ceased operation — as has the NBA, whose season is in doubt if the virus continues at this pace in the weeks and months ahead.
Hopefully tests will become more readily available as the nation continues taking steps to combat this crisis. Either way, it’ll be a trying few weeks, to say the least.
