Giannis Antetokounmpo: “I Just Want To Win. I Want To Help My Teammates Win. I Want To Help This City, Bring A Championship To This City.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo is living his best life, as the Milwaukee Bucks superstar has led his team to have the best record in the NBA while having the blessing of becoming a father.

Now, the reigning NBA MVP has only one goal in mind and that’s winning the title at any cost.

He has even more inspiration now that his son, Liam Charles Antetokounmpo, was born. For instance, the Greek Freak pointed out how Fred VanVleet’s numbers got better after his son was born last year.

In the 2019 Eastern Conference finals, VanVleet was shooting a dismal 20.0% through three games. Then his son, Fred Jr., was born and the Raptor would put up 13 points off the bench in Game 4, and he shot 68% in the final three games of the series to end the Bucks’ season.

“Look at Fred VanVleet,” Antetokounmpo said, via ESPN. “He started making all those shots when he had his kid. Maybe that happens to me also. Who knows?”

Although he notes that stats are nice for him, Giannis is always looking for the bigger picture. He could become the first player since Moses Malone in 1982 to average 30 points and 13 rebounds per game in a single season, but he also wants to join VanVleet as an NBA champion.

“I know there are a lot of things that come with being a celebrity, being on the front page covers and all that, but it really doesn’t excite me,” Antetokounmpo said. “There’s a lot of things that I’ve turned down. I’ve turned down movies, commercials, endorsement deals this year because I really don’t care. I just want to win. I want to help my teammates win. I want to help this city, bring a championship to this city.”

There is no doubt that Giannis is inspired to take it all this season and take the Bucks to the promised land. He has set one goal and he wouldn’t rest until he achieves it.
