Savannah James, wife of NBA superstar LeBron James, has openly expressed her aspirations of seeing her children, Bronny, Bryce, or even Zhuri, don the Team USA jersey and represent their country at the Olympics. Speaking on her podcast, ‘Everybody’s Crazy’, Savannah shared her reflections on the summer spent in Paris cheering for LeBron during what might be his final Olympic appearance.

“This would be the last time that we would have an experience where their dad would be playing in the Olympics or anybody. Until maybe Bronny gets called up, or Bryce gets called up, or maybe even Zuri playing volleyball. But yeah, that’s the last time for a while.”

Savannah and the James family were in Paris to support LeBron as he competed in his fourth Olympics. At 39, LeBron helped Team USA secure gold, delivering standout performances, including becoming the first player in Olympic history to record multiple triple-doubles. His stats were remarkable: 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists in the semifinals against Serbia. Despite playing alongside Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, LeBron’s leadership and versatility shone through, earning him MVP honors for the tournament.

While LeBron’s Olympic journey seems to have reached its conclusion, Savannah’s dreams for her children remain alive. Bronny, who was part of the 2023 Nike Hoop Summit Team USA roster, has shown flashes of potential. However, his rookie stats for the Lakers—averaging 0.7 points, 0.2 rebounds, and 0.3 assists in six games—indicate he still has a long road to Olympic contention. His G League performance has been slightly better, with averages of 5.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.

Bryce James, the younger of the two boys, was invited to the Team USA Under-17 Training Camp but did not make the final roster. Despite this, he remains an exciting prospect who could eventually earn his place on the national stage. Zhuri James, the youngest of the siblings, is a volleyball enthusiast, and Savannah hasn’t ruled out the possibility of her representing Team USA in the future.

With Los Angeles hosting the 2028 Olympics, the opportunity for Bronny, Bryce, or Zhuri to shine on home soil is tantalizing. The James family’s legacy in sports could see a new chapter as the next generation aims to follow in LeBron’s footsteps.

LeBron’s performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics was historic and deeply personal. He led Team USA in assists and rebounds, just narrowly missing the scoring title, and his family’s presence in Paris was a motivating factor. Savannah described the summer as “memorable,” not just for LeBron’s success but also for the family’s shared experience supporting him on such a grand stage.

While LeBron may have played his final Olympic game, Savannah’s dreams reflect the broader legacy of the James family. Whether it’s basketball or volleyball, Bronny, Bryce, and Zhuri all have the potential to represent Team USA and continue their family’s incredible story.
