  • AJ Griffin called out people who go to Beyonce concerts
  • Griffin said in a now-deleted tweet that Beyonce promotes Satan
  • Griffin is rumored to be included in a trade package for Pascal Siakam

Atlanta Hawks forward AJ Griffin recently called out people who go to pop star Beyonce’s concerts.

Griffin apparently wrote that in a now-deleted tweet. However, one Redditor captured the content of the tweet before it was removed by the 19-year-old.

“If you call yourself a follower of Jesus Christ, you shouldn’t be going to any Beyoncé concerts or any concerts that promote Satan. (Ephesians 5:11),” Griffin allegedly wrote.

The popular singer is all set to perform in Atlanta on Aug. 11, 12, and 14. As mentioned by the Redditor, it seems obvious that Griffin will not attend Beyonce’s concert.

Griffin is a well-known supporter of Jesus Christ. A look at his Twitter account is more than enough to prove that. Here are a few tweets by the Atlanta Hawks small forward:

“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” – John 10:27

“For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:3

People being quiet about “ sound of freedom “ shows you how wicked this world is. (1 John 2:15-18) #SoundOfFreedom

Everyone has the right to believe in and practice their own religion. But encouraging others to not attend Beyonce’s concert and accusing her of promoting Satan is certainly not right.

Griffin was one of four first-round picks from Duke during the 2022 NBA Draft. The 16th overall pick didn’t have a huge rookie season, as he averaged 8.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.

AJ Griffin Could Be Traded To The Toronto Raptors

NBA teams usually allow players a couple of seasons to show their potential in the league. But it seems like the Atlanta Hawks have already run out of patience with AJ Griffin.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, AJ Griffin was recently offered to the Toronto Raptors in a trade package for two-time NBA All-Star Pascal Siakam.

“Atlanta has offered a package centered around De’Andre Hunter, AJ Griffin, and draft compensation to Toronto for Siakam, league sources say. But the Raptors are believed to have upped the price on any possible deal at each turn,” Charania wrote.

Beyonce is a megastar, and tweeting against her could be the final nail in the coffin for Griffin’s time in Atlanta. As of now, the Raptors have rejected the trade offer, but there’s no guarantee that they don’t change their stance on it.
