Hilariously enough, Adams had the opposite response when asked about the Bubble saying, “It’s all good, mate. Let’s be clear mate, it’s not Syria mate. It’s not that hard. It’s not that difficult. We’re living on a bloody resort.”

While LeBron James made it sound like one of the most harrowing experiences anyone could have, Steven Adams kept it as real as possible. The NBA stars had access to all the facilities within the Bubble, and while it must have been really difficult not to see their families for a while, it certainly wasn’t the end of the world.

Many fans and players alike criticized the Bubble concept even at the time. They didn’t think that it was a good enough solution to the situation and many didn’t want to play. And Austin Rivers recounted how LeBron James deciding to play is what pushed it over the edge.
“We were all just waiting to see if LeBron was gonna play or not. And if he wasn’t, then people were just gonna move on and not wanna play. Udonis Haslem literally grabbed the mic and gets up and goes, ‘Ayo, big bro, what we doing?’ … He goes, ‘If you ain’t playing, the Heat are out.’ And he drops the mic.”
LeBron James wanted the Bubble to happen and he contributed to ensuring that it did. On top of that, the situation brought him his fourth NBA championship to boot. LeBron has been called out in the past for exaggerating things, and his later description of the Bubble does feel like it is heavily embellished.
