Amidst the news of Damian Lillard demanding a trade from Portland, Joel Embiid took to Twitter to send a cryptic message.
In two words, Embiid simply wrote ‘The Watcher’, leaving fans of the 76ers confused and even a little worried. Embiid could be sending a message to his front office to make some moves lest he take matters into his own hands.

Embiid is reportedly waiting to see the Philadelphia 76ers‘ next move, as James Harden will be traded away from the franchise. If Damian Lillard, one of the best guards in the NBA has now become available through a trade, then perhaps the possibility of teaming up with Damie has intrigued Embiid.
The 76ers Have Big Decisions To Make
The 76ers must now find a suitable home for Harden, while also picking up a decent package that they can use to build around Embiid. The Cameroonian big man is in his prime and is coming off an MVP season, so it would behoove the 76ers to not waste his great form by pairing him with another star quickly.
Harden would like to be traded to the LA Clippers, as he wants to play in his hometown of Los Angeles. However, it is hard to see a deal like that come to fruition anytime soon.
Could the 76ers perhaps pull off a trade that sees Harden leaving and Damian Lillard becoming a Philadelphia 76er? It would be a tough deal, as Harden doesn’t want to go to Portland, and so a third team (or more) would be required. But pairing Embiid with Lillard could form the NBA’s next fearsome duo.
